What it does
- Adjust fan speed (0–100 %) via a simple slider.
- Switch between Quiet, Balanced, and Performance profiles.
- Real-time telemetry (CPU/GPU temps, fan RPM) displayed in the UI.
- Dark & Light theme support.
- Auto-starts background hardware daemon silently.
- Safe, reversible EC/WMI writes — daemon restores BIOS control on exit.
Installation
- Download the latest
cremecore-setup.exe(button above, or from GitHub Releases). - Run
cremecore-setup.exeand follow the setup wizard. - Launch cremecore from your Desktop or Start Menu!
Note on Fan Control (PawnIO): Direct fan speed overrides require the PawnIO driver (
PawnIOLib.dll+LpcACPIEC.bin). If not already installed, obtain it from PawnIO Releases.
Building from source (developers)
- Install MSVC toolchain (Visual Studio 2022 Build Tools with Desktop C++ workload):

Project architecture
The project follows a two-crate workspace:
daemon/— background hardware service that talks directly to EC registers and WMI.gui/— modern Freya GUI frontend communicating with the daemon over local IPC.
